Ahhhhh....

The fresh air...

The sound of the spring peepers...

The loons splashing around...

It was great to get the boat out for the first time this spring....

And now that I can feel my fingers and toes again....wow!

BRRRRRRRRRRRR!

Air and water temp were both 44...

Sun was out when we left the house, but it was cloudy by the time we got to the lake.

Since crappie and bluegills are about the only fish "open" to catch right now, we took a "hot tip" from the guy at the bait shop and headed out...

When we arrived at his 'hot spot' the wind was blowing all the way across the lake and there were 'almost' whitecaps....

BUT nothing can stop you on your first trip out in the spring!!!!

Results?

3 crappie, 3 bluegills

my boy caught a 15" bass and an 18" pike on his ultralight, so he had fun!

The mighty TV-18 ran fantastic....the tune-up and fresh sparkplugs last fall were noticeable!

40mph, 44 degrees, and 15-20mph wind....

ahhhhhhhh

spring
