First Murray Bass

Went out on Lake Murray this afternoon and caught my first "Lake Murray" bass on a C-rigged fluke, watermelon red. Was good to feel something tug back for the first time this year! Water was a little staing and from 48 - 53 degrees, depending on wherer we were. Lookin' forward to next month! Ya'll be good.

In this time of year, try a chrome/blue (with a little red) trap type bait, fished over the grass. I use the Yo-Zure Ultra Vibe (if I remember correctly) - or something similar. The trap should be just 'ticking' the top of the grass. Deadly.
