I asked them to call around to see if they could find another 896 DC, the only one available was in Springfield, the uglest color they make. So I told them FORGET IT!, refund the money and close deal, I'll go somewhere else. When we got off the phone, out of couriousity, I called BPS in Concord, NC. They had the exactly color I wanted 896 DC, Cypress Green/Moonshine, dual console, 200 XR6 but it had extras,(hydrolic stering& hot foot), which was fine with me. I put money on the boat over the phone and went 3 days later and picked it up. The people at Concord were great!! Very nice, they returned calls quickly and gave me all the information I needed. (Thanks Brain McConnell) Everything was ready when we got there, signed papers and out of ther in less than 1 hour for a (4 hour drive) but it was worth it, have a beatiful boat that runs and performs excellent. I FINALLY GOT IT, I'M A NITRO OWNER!!!

Great news,

happy to see you found what you wanted, too bad you had to go through all that but it works out in the end....Welcome aboard!!

Way "Kewl"...and anything that's "moonshine" is very, very "kewl" with me....Congrats on the new boat.

robert....

Seems things happen for a reason most times...first deals didn't come thru but you got the boat you really wanted, with some great extras to boot, in the end!

Life just don't get any better....ENJOY!

Congrats on the boat! And thanks to Troy for shedding a little light, when i bought my Tracker, luckily everything went smoothly, but i have had other purchases, (cars, vans, ordered) that have gone haywire. And even if it's not totally a salesperson's fault that it did go bad, they take the brunt of it cause they're the direct link between the buyer and product, I ended up going to another dealer and have never been back. Not to blame the salesperson, but there has to be SOME way where Tracker/Nitro can improve, be it communication between dealerships, COOPERATION between dealerships, or whatever...... I have had great luck with mine so far, with no regrets, but after reading some posts about Tracker's service, sales, etc, I wonder if I'd have still bought one...Sorry I got a little off topic Robert, congrats on the boat, and many happy and successful years of fishin'!!

Troy,...thanks for the explanations,...glad you clarified that! Pop in anytime you want to say HI or offer input,..this site is really getting some attention. and that's a GOOD thing! "Mini" and I are on Ken Neeley's Prostaff, and ocassionally Doug Patillo and Rick Emmitt and some other folks from Springfield will pop in to answer questions or give us technical info and answers to problems.

No other boat mfgr that I'm aware of has such a cool board to go to and we can ALL thank Rich Stern for that, but it's GREAT to be able to get feedback and info from the people who build and sell the products....we hope you'll add to the mix!! Thanks again!!
