Evening all!!!

Well, had a good day fishing yesterday. Caught 2 bass and the friends with me caught many many catifsh and white perch!!! But...... (gotta love that huh) Got the boat home and was doing the post trip wash down and noticed that I was missing a chunk of fiberglass from the bottom of the boat that is down to the fiberglass matting. The boat did not seem to take on more water then usual. Is this user fixable or should I take this to the dealer? If dealer, anyone know where there is a Tracker place that does boat work or a reputable maintenance place near Stafford Virginia? Work hours are long, so I have to find a place near by to the home for the repair work. Thanks for the help and this board is my favorite place to visit on the web!!!!

Carlos Hathcock??!!...GySgt Hathcock?!!! World record holder for the longest confirmed sniper kill in 'Nam??!! January 1967, Duc Pho, South Vietnam!? 2250 Meters with a Browning .50 HMG!!!!...I thought you died from Cancer recently!!

LOL....(BTW,...your record was just broken in Afghanistan by a Canadian Sniper,...2400meters) That's a poke!!

The Canadian did it with a slap shot, he was using an illegal stick, so it didn't count. LOL...

Actually Mike, it was a pea shooter...it was a contest for a free beer.

Carlos,..that is sooo cool!! I saw an interview with your Dad that was taped a few years ago,....what a great man and awesome story teller!! I am so honored to know you're a bass fisherman too!! How COOL!!!......My older Brother spent years in the Marine Corp and often spoke of "Gunny Hathcock" and what a stud he was!!..ahaha...Then he got his appointment to the Naval Academy,...graduated in '77.

Went back into the Corp as a 2nd LT and fulfilled his 5yr post academy commitment. He decided to stay in the reserves so he switched his commission back to the Navy so he didn't have to drive from the China Lakes Naval weapon Ctr down to Pendelton on weekends for reserve duty,......Navy Reservists could stay right at the Weapons Center. Then he took a job with Locheed Martin and moved to NY.

Desert Storm came along and his reserve unit was called up. He's always been a hard chargin' gung-ho Marine at heart, and decided if he was going to have to go to war,...he wanted a front row seat!! He told his reserve unit command that he wanted to try out for a SEAL Team....they told him,..

"Good Luck Old Man,...you can try but at your age,..you'll never make it through!".....Well,..he was able to bypass a lot of his training due to his extensive Marine Corp background/training/accomplishments/etc..etc... but he had to go through the HALO and BUDS traning. During training nobody knows anybody elses prior ranks or service history or anything. He knew he outranked every one of his Instructors ( he was a Lt.Cmdr in the reserves) but it didn't mean squat during SEAL Trng,.....anyway,...upon graduation, they pinned his Lt. Cmdr Bars on him and his SEAL crest and everyone of those Instructors had no idea that they had been beating and raggin' on an Officer for that whole time!! They all saluted him and said,..."It was an honor and privilage to train you SIR,...We'd be honored and privilaged to serve with you at any time!".....and He said,..."I Would be honored and privilaged to have any one of you in my Unit!"...anyway,..they called him "Gramps" while he was in Desert Storm and was assigned to Team 2.....they kicked major ARSS!!!!!.....He retired from active duty as a commander and now lives in VA., still working for Locheed. I just spent a weeks vacation with him and your Dad's name came up again in a conversation we were having about long range shooting. That's when my brother told me that he thought your Dad had passed away a couple of years ago, but he wasn't sure,...what a small world!! I can't believe that you're his son,..man that's cool!! You should be and probably are VERY proud,...he was one helluva Marine and was known by EVERY one who had ties with the USMC. Very cool Carlos,.....I'm honored to say I know you!! (well...I guess I sorta know you,...ahahaha.....aquainted through a fishing website!!...unbelievable!!) Someday I'd like to shake you hand dude!!....

Regards!!
