I'm in the market for a new bass boat and I would like to hear from any Nitro 9 Series owners. What you like about the boat, problems you have had, and how well Nitro took care of any problems.

I run a 929 and have been extremely happy with it. As a matter of fact it's for sale but there is a line forming...LOL. I have to get a price put together. Take a look in my library.

Just bought my 901, waiting for it to arrive... Shopped around quite a bit, and gotta tell ya, it is one heck of a nice boat... Its the little things that matter, location of the batteries, access, love the pull out storage bins in the back, big fan of the lighted compartments, the recessed foot pedal. Live wells are awesome on the 9 series too...

Never owned a 9 series but I know of a couple of guys that are trading in 901's for the new 898. Like the 896 only bigger? May just be a personal preferrence for these guys but it's worth looking at also. Especially since you can save a few grand by going to the 898. I got a pretty good look at Mac's 901 last year and without actually prying through his lockers, I can say it had a great layout, but does sit a little higher than most other boats. I think once you get used to that it will be nice to have a better view of things.

okay just recieved mine and havnt had it in water yet but let me tell you it is sweet, I shopped around alot especially since skeeter and tritons, and rangers are so popular here and to touch a simular 19 footer with simular options I would of spent around 5 to 7 k more minumuim. I love the layout I actually got all my takle in it with a little room to spare. I bought mine directly from bps in cincy and they have been great to deal with, I think you should also check your dealers out as they could make the boat a good or bad owning experience just due to the sevice they provide. My brother owns a tracker avalanche and he had a paint issue ( the only one I have ever seen posted on a ave) and he posted a question on this page and was contacted by cincy sevice center that night and they are covering the repairs. SO guess what I'm saying is so far I am VERY HAPPY so far with Cincy BPS tracker/nitro staff and the boats they have provided us with even though mine hasnt been wet yet, but by the indicators so far if I have issues I have a good sevice center here in case I need it.

I've had my 901 for two seasons. I really love the boat overall. It is slow to plane with a full tournament load. I'm going to try a 4 blade prop an a lower pitch. Last year I had problems with my recirculating pumps getting gummed up. Fish "stuff" got sucked into the hoses, valves, & pumps. After I cleaned them out, I installed screens over the the bottom drain holes. I found out later that the 9 series was supposed to have them from the factory.

Kurt,

I'm one of the guy's that went to a 898. Tried a 901 and didn't like it as much, Don't have nothing bad to say about 9's just prefer a shallower draft, faster boat, little bit more effort to manuver the 9's in stumpy water, doesn't get off of timber and stumps as well, can't get as shallow either, has a great ride and the 9's have the best livewell system on the market, storage is great, but rodboxes on 898 are super, and 898 w/its 2 boxes up front have closed the gap on the storage lay out. I have had many of the "other" brand boats and I like my 929 better than all of'em. Honestly! I am sponsored by them and I know that makes me sound biassed but, I am truly in awe of this new boat.

I have about 6 hours on the big motor and have just began to let'er rip. Again, very impressed! Speed, fishability, storage, stability...even the fit and finish that many used to complain about is great. Deck space for two anglers is also second to none. I can fish side by side with a friend at the very bow! Try that is the competitions boat!

The bottom line is that Nitro has an awesome boat at the best price in the industry.

901 or 929, you will not be let down!!!
