The very very, funny Jr. has it right. Mike Grandick. Bass Pro Council Bluffs is opening Nov. 3 hell or high water. Contractor's night is the day before. Johnny Morris will be at the Contractor's night which will be hosted by Jimmy Huston.
I'm a P.A.C.E. employee which is kind of like a subsutite for the regular and part time guys and gals. I work when they need extra help because someone is going to miss work or they will be extra busy. As of yet I haven't trained. I have been through the three days of orientation and recieved my name tag and first paycheck for the time orientating. I will be in the hunting area.
I don't know what my schedule will be as of yet. Pheasant and quail season also open this weekend and the next few weeks the area will be saturated with out of town hunters. Jim Goff, the manager, told us at our orientation that they fully expect to close Interstates I 29 and I80. The store is right on the intersection of the two interstates and gets about 100 thousand cars per day. They have contacted the Iowa Department of Transportation and asked for help routing the traffic.
The store is fantastic. That's about all I can say. They will have almost 15,000 stuffed animals displayed in wildlife scenes. Murals on the wall deplicted such scenes as the Oregon Trail which started here. Right now the water is running in the fountains and they have been stocking for two weeks. They got their first shipment of Tracker boats sitting in the West lot. The seafood resturant will open in Feb. fresh fish flown in daily. It has a "Starbucks" and there's a Casino across the street. A multiplex theater down the road and a major convention cente to the West. I drove my last night and about ten deer where looking at the boats in the parking lot.
Mac. That's a hell of a road trip from the Detroit area. I'd love to finally meet someone from this board face to face.
