Factory Orders

Hey Guys, thanks for all the feedback I received on selecting a new boat. I have decided to go with the Nitro 882 NX w/ Mercury 150 XR6. The only problem is the dealer does not have the boat in stock but swears he can get it from the factory in two week.



What do you think? I know some of you ordered from the factory, how long did it take to get the boat?

Unless he's got an "incoming", he's either got to trade with another dealer or he's lying. I've not heard of a boat getting ordered and on the lot in 2 weeks. Heck, it usually takes a shop 2 weeks to get the blamed thing rigged up.

I'd tell him the deal is contingent on you taking possession in two weeks and you want it in writing, see how he responds...

As long as you ordered a standard color package and not a "custom", color...I don't see why HE can't get it in 2 weeks..but then it'll probably have to be rigged so you'd be wise to plan on 3 weeks before YOU get it.....IMHO.

I agree w/Mike, If it is comming from the factory and not on order, earliest is about 6 weeks the norm seem to be 8 weeks. KENNY

I ordered a NX750 from MarineMax in MN. They said it would take 6 weeks. It took 8. Kenny is right on the money. Only if they already had one ordered 4-6 weeks prior and the color you wanted would I agree they could have it in 2 weeks. Do what David suggested and see how they respond.
