Evinrude Tracker oil injector

Hello,

I have a 1992 Bass Tracker with a "Evinrude" Tracker engine. .. It has not been run in more than 4 years and I would like to know if there is any way to check the oil injection system to see if it works. ... The carbs and tank were mot drained so the gas has evaporated and left the oil. .. It smokes now, but I can't go by that. .. What happens when that old oil has burned?. .. How will I know if the injection is working?. .... THANKS!. ... ted

Take the plugs out so it wont start, disconnect the line coming out from the oil pump and try to start it, shoudl pump oil... I got the info from forums.Iboats.com Great repair site.
