I went to Camp Bullis in San Antonio yesterday to set up my hunting spot for this season. On the way back, this huge centipede crossed the road in front of me. I thought it was a little snake at first, but realized he wasn't slithering like a snake - he was going in a straight line. I jumped out of the truck and got this shot just before he hit the grassline on the side of the road. I'd estimate his size as at least 10" long.

All the best,

I'll tell you one thing, they have what "I" would call grasshoppers down here in Florida that are the biggest I have EVER seen. They are 5 to 6 inches long H*U*G*E with yellow and red on them. Biggest mutants I have ever seen. Looks like they have vestigial tiny wings. I'm afraid to try and squash one, it might grab my foot and body-slam me like in the cartoons!! I just give them a wide berth!! I'll try and get a pic.
