Staying on site in October, all info on ticket and resort discounts are appreciated. God bless.

Jeff

Hey Jeff, we are planning a trip to Disney in October too pending my recovery from shoulder surgery. If all goes well with therapy we will be down there the 2nd week. Are you going to go fishing in the lagoon while you're there? I've heard you can catch some nice ones and I don't think it's overly expensive.

There are 2 ways to get discounted ticket, at least from our experience the last few years - 1) AAA for a like 5% discount, and 2) the "free" ones you see sign's for on the way driving down - these require you to take the "free tour" of a condo development and get hard sell/pitched to buy time share, but they do give you free tickets! ITs all about your time priorities and ability to just say NO! Oh and a good idea is to bring 1-3yearold kids with you so when they start the hard sell the kids are WAY tired, pissed and start kicking/screaming and throwing tantrums, gets you out quick with your tickets ALL THE TIME. NOT that we've done that before!!! LOL

Hey Jeff R. (cool 1st name:D) We are going the 3rd week but for only 4 days, 2 to disney, 1 to sea world and 1 universal. Probably won't be doing the fishing thing since its not my wife's fav thing:unsure: Best of luck on you recovery and we may pass each other. Did you find any discounts on tickets or resorts anywhere?

Thanks,

Jeff

To make the most of your park visit, buy one of the books that really gets into how to 'schedule' your day around the current rides/exhibits. There will be quite a few available at the book store, just browse and pick one that :

1) Is fairly current.

2) Seems logical.

When we went years ago with a group, we used one and really planned several of our days. It worked wonderfully well.

VERY good advice Tex, we've always used "The Unoffical Guide to Walt Disney" their trip planning, schedules, and information are invaluable!!

Fun and cheap for the kids. At disney they have them coin machines that presses pennies They are hundreds of them all over the the parks. They all have a dif print and its just $.51 each and my kid just loved looking for them !!!!!!!!!!

www.intercot.com forums are the best for getting info about Disney.

We got once a year.

Discounted tickets are hard to come by, but discounted hotel rooms from Priceline.com are easy. We stay in 4 star hotels for $50-75/night (Normally $300+)
