Has anyone tried the "Ding King" they advertise on TV for their boat, or heard of it being done?

Wal-Mart had them on clearance for $15.00, so I picked 1 up to try. Have to wait until it gets

warmer out first.

You can see them at www.dingking.com

The consumer reporter for our local TV newscast tested the product and it failed on 9 out of 10 dents. The only one it worked on was small, perfectly symetrical and on very thin gauge metal.

Was that the report on WGAL-8?

That's why I bought the thing, because of the report I saw. They said it worked, but could take a lot of tries. I figured for $15.00 I'd try it on the Jeep. The boat is a lot heavier, I think.

That's funny, the local consumer news reporter here in Oklahoma City did a report on the same product with dismal results too. The hot melt glue won't stick good enough to pull the dent. However on an aluminum boat without a painted surface you could rough up the area with some steel wool which would make the hot melt stick better. Just a thought.
