Had out first tournament of the year and won it!
The day started out pretty nice, weather wise but the bad was coming. About two hours into the tourney here came gale force winds, rain and it go really dark. Turned the area I was in on and we qickly caught out limits on spinnerbaits in emergent pad fields. When we had jerked about 50 bass out of the area we were fishing we decided to move. went to complete opposite side of the lake and into a deep channel that no one was in. Guess cause it was spring and it wasn't on the prototypical north east side of the lake. Went in and added two 4's and a 2.5 to cull up to 14lbs. Went in, weighed and won the tourney with the 4 getting big bass. We were the only ones fishing spinnerbaits as EVERYONE said they couldn't get anything but small bank runners on their worms, senkos and jigs. I love it when a plan comes together!:lol:
