Okay...I am engineering/building a "sometimes" rear casting deck in my 19' Tracker...It will be removable...but I want it sturdy...For once, I want to avoid "over engineering" it so it won't weigh "two tons"...



Should 5/8" treated plywood with four vertical full length "legs" underneath be enough under a 12" high by 34" deep full width deck... It's going to have a livewell and dry storage under it plus a seat socket (double plywood under the seat socket...glued and screwed together)... Removing the previous semi-permanent deck I just made!!!

What...nobody here has an opinion...peshaw!
 
sounds like it should work. i water seal the wood after i cut and before i assemble. i really soak it good. carpet glue will still stick to the wood. stan
