HI everybody!!

I`m having a huge problem with my Tracker/Nitro dealer here in Sweden, he don`t WANT to SELL ME A NITRO.

With your experience, what should i do??

Contact Tracker company or what??

Please let me know.

Jonas from sweden

Well I think that you cant be a dealer and just dont sell any boats.

If you dont want to sell em leave it to someone who want!

Sorry for the delay!!

My Internet connection was down for 20 hours!!

OK some info about the dealer.

Earlier this year I contacted Tracker US, and ask if they had any dealer in Sweden.

A Marine company sent me a mail and there he told me that HE were the Tracker/Nitro dealer in Sweden.

After some "asking around" ex on this board, I desided to put an order. So I called the dealer for some last details and then he told me that he dont inport the Nitro.

The reason he told me, was that there is no market for used Nitro`s. If i came to him with the boat and wanted to trade it in for another boat he wouldnt take it.

I asked him if i still wanted a boat, if he could help me any way. He refused and told me to try another country instead.

Puh!! My english is not so wery good but i hope that everybody understand my problem.

Ask him what the import fees and luxury taxes are.

Importing a boat can lead to more taxes than you would want to pay anyway. He may be doing you a favor.

An alternative would be to come to America, buy your boat and ship it home. This also would be expensive.

Write Nitro and email via their web site and see what they say.

Good Luck

Parts availability shouldn't be a problem; UPS Worldwode.

Trained Techs shouldn't be a problem; fiberglass is fiberglass.

Mercury's are Mercury's worldwide.

Same with the rest of the accessories.

No market for used Nitro's? Who cares! That's what detractors say over here, too!

Import duties and shipping could be very high.....

Finding someone who will arrange the transportation could be very difficult.....

"Packaging" the product for shipment would take time and care.....

However, if you're willing to pay.....

My bet is that the Dealer has a good idea of all the costs and pretty well figures that, after he goes through all the trouble to put all the numbers together, you'll decided that it is simply not worth it.

Sorry! :^(

me!

On the other hand.....

If you want a Nitro badly enough.....

Talk to someone over there who arranges imports to find out what costs might be involved.

Contact Bob Bourget at Marine USA (www.marineusainc.com) for the cost of the boat; he's on the east coast near ports.

Purchase the hull and trailer only; add motor and electronics over there.

Put the numbers together and do it on your own!
