I was all pumped up to go muzzleloading tomorrow and my wife calls me and says she booked me for tomorrow since on my calendar it was open! ERRRRRRRR! I'm booked for Sunday too so I bought my muzzleloader stamp for nuthin! Actually if I don't fill a tag during rifle I can use it, but like I'm not going to zap one with my rifle in the rut! Yeah right! Well, if ya gotta work, ya gotta work. I'll have more reports for fatrap and Jim about the birds. Hey, Ken, shoot one for me would ya! At this rate, I'll be lucky if I get any venison this year. Hey anybody want to trade for some woodcock or grouse fillets?

Rob

That's what I'm suspose to do tomorrow for the first time. Smokepole deer. Weather is gonna be lousy too. Maybe a photo opp. for me also.

An old childhood buddie called and may line up a feral hog shoot. Someone let 300 head go around his town a few years back and their raising hell. They shot 41 lastweek and thats not even making a dent. One was way over 400 pounds. Sound like fun?

fatrap

Watch those things, they'll tear ya new one if your not careful! They're MEAN! From my stand 15 feet up with a 30.06......yeah, sounds like a blast! LOL

exactly 185 grain 30.06 from the back of the pick up. The sheriff won't let anyone eat them they just bury them with a back hoe. One farm kid was attacked so far.

I raised hogs as a kid and have been bit several times, can't trust them.

I was watching TNN one time and Dick Butkus was hunting bore in Hawaii. The guide said when you shoot a hog and don't kill it. The hog will try and get even.

Ooohhh.. Got bit by a hog, huh fatrap..

Man, I'll bet that hurt like a .. well.. like a hog bite!! LOL!

I can't believe a guy who drives glass can shoot straight enough to get a deer!

(It just goes on and on and on!)

You oughta offer a "Fins and Feathers" trip...1/2 day of fishin'...1/2day of huntin'!! That would be a cool deal for the fall....

Rich - Bet those 'glass guys can't hit a Rat at 30 feet either as he's scurrying towards the door!! Oh, I meant the rat, not Rob scurrying!!!!!

I was reading a story about the center for the Razorbacks football team who hunts them with just a bowie knife and a couple of dogs.I cant decide whether he has brass kahoonies or is just plain nuts.

Mac is right, that would be a good idea!

Trep, I don't see Rob as the scurrying type! Hiding from tin, yes; scurrying, no!

Some day I will have regale the board with my rat fishing stories. That is fishing for rats, not with them!

Ha ha very funny. Actually, if anyone would like to come to the range sometime, I can hold my own at 300 yards with a rifle or clays with the shotgun. Mac, I have tried, but it's just to hard to do you give up a lot of time. The trout guides do, but it's easier for them, they don't have a boat to contend with.

Hey Rob,

We can swap some grouse for some venison...I'll get with ya later in the season.

I might have to take you up on that if I keep this pace. I might be lucky to get in 1 weekend for deer!
