OK I am here not to start a riot unless it gets my tach fixed. Lets start on the plus side. Zebco/Rhino I know these are not big dollar reels but I do like there new rbc300 I have 3 now. Last year 1 of them spent some time in the lake? and I forgot about cleaning or lubeing untill I picked it up again 3 weeks later. The 1 way bearing and sleeve rusted some not makeing it as smooth as it had once been. I contacted Zebco about buying the replacement parts so I could fix the reel. Mary at Zebco said send us the reel and we will replace it No Charge. I told her it was my fault and her reply was it should not have rusted anyway.

I love customer service. Now the down side..I have a TELEFLEX Sportsman tach that has died and is less than 9 months old and nobody will return my calls or answere my e-mail about where I should send it to be repaired or replaced under the 2 year warranty..So if by the end of the year if I can't get a response I will have for sale almost new voltmeter, fuel level, water pressure gauges and a steering wheel for sale..I don't trust the water pressure gauge either it reads 2 lbs at idle but I have a good water stream so I go by that..

Bruce,

I just went to the Teleflex web-site. They have links to their products in medical, automotive, aerospace, industrial and marine on the home page. Guess which link didn't work.... That's not a good sign.

About two weeks ago, I placed a call to Teleflex about replacing an hour meter. They called me back the very next day. In my conversation I found out that they were going to be closed (the marine division anyway) for the week around Thanksgiving. So, they may be running behind on responses. If you have a problem contacting them by phone, leave a message for Customer Service, I did and it worked. They are a good company as far as I can tell.

Water pressure WILL be low at idle even though you have a good stream.

The gauge is reading correctly.
