OK, I ordered the TM like you and Ken suggested. Now this thing is only a stinkin nylon strap with velcro, but could they make it just a little bit harder to figure out the instructions on how to install it? Maybe I'll just wait until you guys get here for the rally and have someone capable do it! LOL I just practically rebuilt my entire boat, but can't figure out how to install a TM saver! LOL

Hey, how many guides does it take to.............LOL

Rob,

Strictly from memory...But, aren't there two metal attachments (screws on top of the strap) to the deck and then the strap goes over and sort of "buckles" together and is held by the velcro on the end...(I don't know that that made any sense at all...read it..hmmmm...and I wrote it!)

Then what are the 2 little plastic studs for afterwards? Directions say I'm supposed to fold the excess? And then insert the studs? It's like trying to change a headlight in my Mom's Honda! LOL How hard can this be? I will look again tonight. Drugs they have had me on lately to kill the pain have been A OK! LOL Workin like a charm....Hey Drugman, send the makers of Hydrocordone my regards! LOL I was a little "happy" when I was trying to install my TM saver. Put a custom deluxe CD changer with remote antenna in the boat no problem, but couldn't figure out that %&$# TM saver! LOL

The plastic "studs" are a secondary device to keep the strap tight...I believe...If I understand....

Het Rob. Just checked with one of my techs, and he said there's no real tricks to installing the TM Savers. Use the back bolts on the mount, run the strap under the mount, put the bolts back on, tighten 'em down, and you're all set. Call me if you need more info. 248-333-0997

Craig

Greg is right. ROb you must be talking about the Rod Saver one and Craig is talking about the MotorGuide one.

Mini

Yeah, mine is the rod save kind. Wasn't aware motorguide had one. Anyone have a pic?
