I saw this on another board and just had to share. How old do you think that boat is? Who do you think is driving?

Notice there aren't any lifevests. And an old AnchorMate hanging off the front. It's hard for me to say anything because it looks just like an old Terry I used to have :)

Well Bill It's the truth!!!!!!!! If you owned that boat you could write your own ticket today .....Looks like maybe dance driving, He was the first to really push them. It's the first series probably 68-69...Jr

I agree guys. I thought maybe Tom Mann first and then I noticed the Tennessee registration sticker. My Terry (Quachita) was a 1969.

Bill

Well this YOUNG 38 yearold knows the middle guy is driving with a stick steer!!! I forget which museum in the midwest last we we saw one of the orignal Rangers and Trackers!

Which "middle guy" Michael. There are only two of them. Are you into the beer this early?

I still think the guy in the rear has a steering wheel. All the stick drives I ever saw were controlled at the front seat.

Bill

I think Trep invisioned himself in the front seat, so he saw 3 in the boat!!! The guy in the rear has the wheel.

Bob G.

That one has a steering wheel but man those old stick steers were death waiting to happen on higher powered boats. Friend of mine had a stick steer bass boat. It had an 85 on it. He decided to take it out on the Mississippi (Alton Pool) one Sunday amid all the pleasure boaters and hit a big wake running wide open, stick broke off and the boat went out of control, broke the complete front and rear platform seats off, throwing the passenger onto the gunwale and breaking several ribs. Lucky no one was killed. Of course, that's not the stick steering's fault, it's the fault of the owner being stupid, but you could still get yourself messed up if you pushed instead of pulled at the wrong time. Hutch

WHAT IS THAT THING??????????????????????????????????

YOU MEAN BASS BOATS HAVENT ALWAYS BEEN BIG AND WIDE WITH 300HP ENGINES HANGING OFF THE BACK????????????????

;)

BJ

Yes BJ.

And the only remote we had for our tv's was when Dad would say "hey boy,get up and change the channel for me".LOL

Thats why my eyes are bad now, sitting so close to the tv when I was younger so pop could flip back and forth between all three channels.....lol

BF

I remember getting our first TV...Round screen...Big as a fridge to.

I mean the front guy who is in the MIDDLE seat!!! LOL

Man just got back from fishing, caught 3 small keeper Spots but lost a MONSTER in the trees!!!

Sure Trep....it's ALWAYS the big one that got away!!!

Bob G.

Hey Trep,

I'll be working in NY Sunday through Thursday...but not the city! Snow? That's just another winter day for us that makes life a living hell for you southern boys!!

Bob G.

Bob - Where in NY? I figure way up state?? I'll be about an hour north of the city in White Plains.

Had to get the lining put in my leather coat, find a scarf and gloves. Hotel doesn't have a parking garage and i've got about a 10 min drive each morning!! And right now weather report is for HEAVY snow Mon PM, Tues and Wed!!!

Trep,

I'm in Fishkill right now through Thurday. Will be working in Yorktown each day.

Bob G.

Bob - I've got buddies in Fish Kill, enjoy the snow tonite, though for you its probably just a wimpy 6-10 inches!! LOL

And what did Bill edit out???

I get up that way every now and then. We have a couple doctors in Fishkill.

Donnie

I edited out that I still couldn't get the picture back in but did something wrong before I hit "reply" I guess.

Bill

Hey, Bill the photo is still in your library. I just got a good look at it.

Think that registration could be Texas rather than Tennessee... probably early 70's. And, I wouldn't be surprised if that turned out to be TX on Lake Conroe (not to be confused with "Little Lake Conroe". :)
