Correct seat pedistal?

I picked up a 97 Nitro 884 about a year ago and had a great time with it this year but have a question on the seat posts. It came with EZ Swivel posts for the seats, but they are extremely difficult to remove from the both the foward & rear decks. Is this normal or do I have the wrong type of seat posts and if so what is the proper posts? This boat was a bank repo so it came as is... Thanks for any suggestions or help.

The plastic swells a little. It happens alot. I sanded the post and added a little anti seize.

Clean the hole with alcohol and the post. Then hit the post with a wire brush.

Sould be good after that

Do what Tee and Troy said but in additon, give it a squirt of Reel Magic. You'll be amazed.
