Yes sir, we hit our high for the day of 10 degrees at 4:30 AM and it's been dropping ever since. Going down to -10 tonight and with windchill around -25 degrees! This is GREAT! I love it! heheheheheheheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! We'll never be able to put boats in again! hahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!! And SNOW....oh the snow we're getting!!!! Gotta love it! durn fever. for any who would like to find me, I will be hybernating until mid April!

Rob - You been doing that reverse fridgid dance? We luckily missed the snow/ice storm yesterday. BUT tonite it's going to get down below 10 degree's!! ARRGGGHHH It's too cold in the garage to play in the boat!

Tex - How'd you fare in the snow storm last night?

Hey Tex,

It was a whopping -2 on my thermometer here in the good old Flint Hills this morning!! 20-30 mph winds on top of that, boy don't you miss Kansas!!

Tim

All we got in Rock Hill last night was rain. In translating the radar imagery:

Green - good.

Blue - good.

Pink - don't want at all.

The pink line (snow, ice, mix) was very narrow. Leaving the house this morning, and to the State line was all wet, no white. Soon after crossing into NC, there were 2-3 inches on the ground. Nothing stuck to the roads. It just made it pretty.

Visitied Wichita once or twice in the dead of winter - no thanks. Also spent one winter living out of a hotel in Detroit. You folks can keep that to. However, you can send me some of the pizza from one of the Pizzapapalis stores. Man, that is some good pizza. Now if we can get some of Trep's home brew to go with it . . .

Tex

Rob, the lake ought to be setting up so you can drive the Bravada out there and get in a little ice fishing. Beats sitting in the house all weekend.

How much snow do you actually have on the ground ROB? Our temps here in IL are getting close to yours, at least we might make 25!!

It's not really that bad by comparison to what we should have. There's only a foot or so, but we keep getting this dusting steadily that makes driving all greasy on the roads. And the wind keeps moving what snow there is. You clean off the sidewalk and an hour later, the same stupid snow is right back there! Actually a little more would be welcome, you can throw it against the house as insulation, but we don't have enough to do that. Temps like this do funny things to cars. I snapped the handle for the hood release on my wifes van, and the thermostat is stuck open so it doesn't warm up. Then my truck lost the blower so no heat there either. I have a full auto weekend planned! Plastic in cars and sub zero don't mix. We have to start the cars about 20 minutes in advance to let them warm up before moving them. You punch the gas on a cold tranny and you'll snap belts and cost yourself $1500.....gotta love the north country. Bassus, champlain, hmmmmmm, bassus, mountains.......best fishery in the country.....remember that Rob, that's why you stay....yes.......bassus! Dey luv sparkles! LOL durn fever.

Hey Rob, according to the website, it looks like the weather isn't too good for golf either! When I lived in Northern Wisconsin, I had a block heater for my car and actually forgot to unplug it in the morning and dragged a 25ft extension cord 20 miles to work! Loved that heater though. The car started up and was nice and toasty pretty quick. But them brews would blow up if left in the car!

I did that once, what a mess. And you CAN'T get the smell of stale beer out of your carpets no matter what. Febreeze my butt. "Honest officer, I haven't been drinkin'. See back in February....."

It's a brisk -11 degrees F with a forecasted low of -14. Thank God for an insulated home and a furnace that had its annual service at the start of winter! Also, the remote truck starter with a timer is worth its weight in gold on days like this. Keep warm!!

Now it's -16 and the sun is shining. Hope it gets up to 0 degrees today!!

Bob G.

Bob G - you got me beat only 9 this morning, but no Snow!! Personaly if it's below freezing I prefer Snow, makes it look like the cold is deserved!!

Everyone stay WARM!!
