Hi all. I just purchased a 2005 PT 175 this summer and was wondering. I need to give my boat a good cleaning before winter. What is best for cleaning the aluminum hull? Should I use a green scratch pad? The local hardware store sells aluminum cleaner (powder) or liquid. How about regular car buffer?

Also any tips for cleaning boat carpet? Mine is trashed after a few months of different spills (cleaned up immediately but still stained).

You might want to check this out. I know nothing about it personally though

TEE has an old thread about the "job" he did on his boat... Fantastic finish...

Personally, I don't want tne bottom shinny. I know guys that had the sides and bottom of their Tracker painted black or blue. Others wipe the boat (like the glass guys do) after getting it on the trailer and it keeps the boat looking good.:D

There is NO ONE on the internet can help you like Tee...
