I was at Bass Pro tonight to pick up a new crankbait rod so I decided to try the new Carbon Lite rods since they were $20 off. I thought you should use 7ft MH Fast tip for cranking but the sales guy talked me into getting a 7ft M with moderate tip since the rod was not specifically designed for cranking. Is this correct?

The softer the better, I prefer, for cranking. (Med. Lt. for smaller cranks) Unless you're chunking DD-22's or bigger baits in general and needing a rod with more stamina, that's when the step up in action is worth it. At least that's what works for me. ;)

I agree i like a lighter action did you like the rod, how lite was it Im propbably going to try one to

I am surprised they didnt point you to the new Crank'n Stick. Lighter and stronger...
