Canada Trips - Suggestions on how to get food up north if everyone flys?

Gang - last summer 2007 will be our next Canada trip to Ontario. In the past 14 years we've had my 2 brother-n-laws drive up, while the rest of us fly up, and they buy all the food (non-perishables ahead of time and fruit/veggies/meat/breads on the way) and off we go!



Next year it looks like we'll all fly up, our challenge will be how to get the food up there for this trip. We'll be up there 7 nights, so we'll need a decent amount of food. Beer is easy, the outfitter flies that up for us ahead of time, at a cost of course.



So do any of you go to Canada fly-ins and if you do, any suggestions on getting food up there? I've thought of buying the non-perishables and box and ship UPS to the outfitter, and then have the van that drives us from International Falls to Nestor Falls stop at a grocery for the other stuff??

Eat the fish you catch and at least one of you take your bear rifle along. You can also look at your old Boy Scout books to refresh yourself on how to build traps. All of that along with the berries and nuts you can find should provide you quite well.:wacko:

LOL @ Brad - I'll have to contact our outfitter, probably an easy solution, I had not thought they would offer something like that but it makes sense.



I'm gonna miss our usual food though if we get a "stock" order!!@ LOL We have had pork loin, filet, fresh salad, tomatoes, brocholi, m&ms, large assortment of little debbie snacks, cheese, hot dogs, fruit bars, beef jerky....!!!

Man just thinking about a full 7 days away from work and nothing to do but fish is getting me excited!! Glad i'm fishing with dan in the AM and then we're bringing my boys out after lunch for some bream!!
