Yanno I was just thinking about how soon enough, us guys up north will be facecd with that yearly agonizing pain we call cabin fever. Well I think I might have the answer for us all!

2 weeks ago my fiancee and I decided to get directTV. HOLY COW! I can practically watch any fishing show almost 24 hours a day. This might be my salvation this winter...

Ya might wana check it out they have the outdoor life network and the outdoor network.

Just thought about passing it on...

Seems like every time I turn on OLN, ESPN2 or Fox Sports, I get nuthin' but "The Best of Bill Dance". How he manages to stretch a 15 second lesson into a 1/2 hour show is beyond me. Now that NASCAR is over, think I'll stick with the History Channel this winter. Any way we can skip December and January and go right to mid-February?

Congrats to Tony Stewart!

me!

P.S. Ever watch the in-cars from the World Rally Championship? Those guys got BALLS!

yes they are scott, watched the one from austraila, and from england just the other day.the england one was pretty hairy in a few spots.

.....and all the while the car is flying down the "road" sideways, the Navigator is sitting there CALMLY reading the notes on what's comming up next!

Scott... You have to open your horizions more... I watched 2 hours of tourney fishing this morning...

OLN and OUT also play a lot of in-fisherman and other shows as well... My fiancee says these 2 channels are all I watch... LOL

Sounds like I'm one of the lucky ones...I'll be watching a good movie and the wife will walk in and grab the remote and switch to a fishing show. Daily I get swamped with computer magazines, food, retail you name it...the wife gets nothing but fishing magazines. I'll be married 25 years this year and how could it be better. She just booked a couple of ice fishing trips for January....damn I'm enjoying this :)

Barry

have both those channels also, I agree about Bill Dance, but he sure is relaxing to watch though, so low key,

there's 2 shows that make wife's blood boil, Dimestore Fishermen, and that Johnny Johnson guy-> (heeheehohoheehohee) , when those come on, she looks for the mute button......

Barry, your wife got a sister? :^)

The only fishing show that I honestly don't enjoy is "Fish On". Just a little too much T&A. (Make that a lot too much.) If I want that, I'll go to a girlie bar. (Which I don't do anyway.)

I say GIVE PENNY BERRYMAN A SHOW!!

me!

I gotta say the only "TV" fisherman I really LIKE to watch is Hank Parker. Informative, laid back, knowledgeable and FUNNY as all get out. I watched him this weekend and actually learned something. How many knew that on a spinnerbait the distance between the lead head and the tie on spot determines how weedless it will be. I gotta admit, I didnt. I knew that Carolina blades go through weeds better, and Colorado have more vibration but that was a new one to me. He was fishing with Brad Paisley and it was a hoot!! Part 2 is next Saturday.

TOXIC

Fishing shows, I scan direct tv for The "N" lable and watch those shows LOL

TOXIC,

This may be a dumb question but what is a carolina blade? I live in cali and have never hear of nor seen a blade shape called a carolina. Is that an "eastern" thing or am I just living a sheltered life of fishin?
