Hey guys, Bob if you're serious about Buzs's boat, go for it. I was just messing with ya. But I do have some lines on other rigs. If you decide to get Buzz's boat, no sweat.

Buzz, let you nephew know that if he wants to make a deal soon, I can come down to say $6,000 but it has to be quick, so I can snatch the rig I'm looking at.

For all those who are reading, what do you think about a 1997, 912 with a Merc 25 efi for $10k??? It already has the 50" TM on it, so I don't have to upgrade there, and a tandem axle trailer. A 21' boat would be great for guiding and tourneys, and though a repo, I'm hoping the $$$ I save will be enough to offset any repairs I might need to make. What does everyone think?

Rob,

I was just yanking your chain about buying Buzz's boat. I wasn't serious at all.

Rob, a 25 on a 912 is probably too small. I'd keep looking for something that has at least a 150 on it. LOL!

I didn't know they had the 25hp in EFI's either. Get a 225 on it. Rob that sounds like a neat boat. I saw one here in OKC and it was awesome, not to mention huge. You will want the 225 on it. That should be a good tourney boat for you also until the ranger comes along. If she is in good shape, it would seem it would be hard to go wrong with it. If you like it and it is in good shape go for it. As you know I have the lx700 of the 98' vintage and it is just as good as the day I got it and holding up exceptionally well. should be a good rig.

It was a 225 efi jokers! LOL But Buzz and I talked, since Bob was BS'n, I will still get Buzz's boat. I was leary to go 36 hours one way, despite a bigger boat for less money, because I don't know what I'm getting. And with a repo there is NO warranty. So I could spend $10k, but get home and sink $5k into it. I know Buzz's 896 as good or better than he does. I know what few issues it has and there is nothing I can't fix. I know the motor is strong, if it was going to blow, it would have in the 75+ mile run in the Everstart! LOL And if a motor is going to blow, you almost never know it. It can show full compression one day and be blown the next. Ask ME, I KNOW! LOL The 896 is plenty of boat for me. 65+ MPH, a new TM on the front, an X-15 (the best graph on the planet IMHO) a LMS-240 with GPS, hydraulic steering, dual console, tandel axle trailer with brakes argh, argh, argh!!!! MORE POWER! It will be a great step up for guiding. And though I have lots of tackle, I don't have as much as Buzz, so I can't fill it......YET!
