I need to adjust the board on my trailer. Is there a safe way, for boat and human, to jack the boat up a little? Or is it best to take it to the lake and float it off, leave the wife with the boat and bring it home to fix. Lake is only 1/4 mile away so distance is not a problem.

Take it to the lake,....along with your tools. Dump the boat in....beach it...and make your repairs in the parking lot.

Yep...replaced all my bunks on my old boat in about ten minutes. Already had the bunks carpeted, stapled and ready to go with some good stainless screws:D

Looks like that is what I will do. I replaced the one that needs moved yesterday. I even laid the old one on top of the new one when I drilled the pilot holes. But it needs to be moved about 1/2 inch for the hull to match it properly. Really surprised it isn't lined up. Well load the tools and boat and off to the lake.

Yeah I found out to it's best to wait to drill last thing:D

I have kicked around the idea of using Composite Wood that decks are being made out of nowadays for my new bunks. The local store has them in 2x4 size.

Any thoughts on this ??????

Just a crazy idea that came to me one day..

Always a day late and a dollar short..

Looks like for a little over $100,you could do a trailer and never have to worry about it again..
