Went to beach my boat after my tournament yesterday and I forgot to stow my trolling motor (DOH!). By the time I realized it, it was too late. I backed out and my bracket snapped and the trolling motor just hung there like a limp arm.
I have to replace it within the next few days for my next tourny, what do you folks suggest? I'm looking at a Minn-Kota because I've always had them and they are quieter. Anyone running one? It's going on my TV-18 and it'll replace my 12V 52# thrust Motorguide.
Will it bolt right up to the existing motor mount holes or do I have to drill? Does the new motor come with a Minn-Kota wiring receptacle or do I need to buy this seperate? The new one will be 12V as well, either a All-Terrain or a Maxxum 55#.
Thanks for the help
