Hello All, I finally got the boat out of winter hibernation and ran into a problem. I pulled the boat for a short distance and noticed grease had slung out on both wheels. One of the rubber plugs was missing and the other was about to fall off. After returning home both hubs were hotter than heck. I pulled one wheel and hub and checked the bearings. I assumed maybe I was having bearing problems but on both wheels at the same time was highly unusual. I looked at the piston on the brake caliper and noticed it was not retracted (even though the actuator was all the way forward) causing the brakes to rub continuously causing everything to get hot. I relieved some pressure from the bleeder fitting and was then able to push the piston back by hand. So I think I have determined I have an actuator problem at the tounge. Have any of you had this problem? is it an easy fix? Would it be easier to just replace the whole actuator? Or the inner parts which I am unsure which to replace. I priced the whole actuator and it aint cheap. Thanks for your future help. Mark

It sounds like you may have a a few things going on. either you have a master cylinder going bad or yo ucould have a kink in the lines or something. I would check the lines and make sure they are undamaged then look at the master. Check the link i posted below. it has some good troubleshooting info on this exact problem.

If you have the ufp actuator the master is like 60 bucks, i had to change mine last year and it wasnt bad. I would also change the shock too while its apart.
