It has just been announced that BPS will be opening a new location in Myrtle Beach, SC. It will be 102,000 sq ft and is scheduled to open early summer of 2003.

Ken - We need one in New England - May I reccommend Southern NH - Tax Free - High population density-

Is it a farnchise?

Not a franchise...BPS and Tracker is a privately held company. No word on a N.E. store yet...

Ken,

I'm still waiting for one in PA... Who do I have to call or write to get us one???

Brian

Myrtle Beach???

That's kinda suprising, since that is such a huge tourist trap. Oh well, ain't my money building or operating it. I just try to support the local store. They will probably be ready to dedicate my seat there before too much longer, the way I've been spending.

By the way Ken. I think it is in poor taste for Bass Pro Shops to be sending me any type of circular, with NO FISHING STUFF in it at all! After all, it ain't named Deer (or Duck, Goose, Bear, etc.) Pro Shop.

:)

Blasphemy! How dare you speak of hunting season in such a manner? Long hard hunts, a longer harder winter is what makes bass season the money spending, boat busting, bait drowning spectacular phenomenon that it is! Besides, if you look at the catalog, they should say REDHEAD! Duh!!!!! LOL But you get a seat for spending so much Tex? Geez, where's my seat? Must be a cyber seat since I buy on their site all the time. Another $70 this week. I budget them into my monthly payments! Think I'm kidding, ask my wife. $100 for elec, $500 for mortgage, $250 groceries, $250 to BPS!

So Ken. When are they going to open one in California??

Seems like a pretty big market over here on the left coast..

nearest one to me right now is like 1800 miles.

The nearest BPS to me is 1-800-BASS PRO. After that I have to drive to Maryland!

Rob,

Since you missed the catch on the seat . . . .

Just go into any BPS, and ask where 'John's' "seat" is at.

Those of named John, endure this.

Tex

Ken,

I keep hearing rumor of one being built in Kansas City. Any truth to that? It all started when the Cabela's store was starting to go up.

Haven't heard about KC yet, but they are talking about Las Vegas!!!

BPS is amazing, imagine maybe 15,20 years from now, how many areas that aren't near a BPS, will be....... talk about steady growth..... and I can't speak for all their stores, but I tell ya, every time I pass (or stop in) the BPS in Gurnee, Il., the parking lot is PACKED, about the only time you can park anywhere near it is before they open!

Anyway, if they were ever listed on the NYSE, that's one stock I'd grab! egM....
