Ken, I will be in Cincinnatti this week and was going to stop by the BPS. Was wondering if BPS stores honor BPS sale prices that appear in their sales flyers? Got a sale flyer where they have a Garmin 160 on sale for $179. They also got a Sterns "Sospender" automatic on sale for $98 Thanks

We use a uniform pricing schedule that keeps our stores, catalogue, and internet on the same priceline. However, during our Spring Classics the pricing shown is for the stores having the Classic sale only. The other venues do not honor the Classic pricing to allow the stores having the Classic to pass the savings onto the customer in the store. Additionally, our Outlet Center is a clearance store that has lots ends, one of a kinds, and special buys that are only honored through their center. Our Website has internet only sales from time to time that are also web-exclusive. This allows customers responding to the sales a degree of exclusivity, ensuring product availlable for the areas having sales. If there is any question on a sales flyer you receive call the toll free number on the flyer or send us a query at www.basspro.com. I hope this info helps and we hope to see you soon!

Dan,

Thanx for the clarification...I assumed wrong, but what do I know...I'm just a boat guy!!! LOL

Ken,

You assumed right....Whatever it takes to make a customer happy! You have proven that more times than this ol' boy can count. Just thought I'd give a little background info. With our company growing so fast it's understandable how these sales can get confusing. When we started the retail aspect of this in '95 no one had any idea it could be like this! Back then I was behind a desk here in ATL sharing your title. Long live the boat guys!!!!

Thanks Guys! This is a flyer I got in the mail that said prices were good until March 24th. I usually do all of my BPS shoping online or mail order. Will call the number on the flyer, 1-800-bass pro, and ask them. Thanks again. They also got Woo's favorite rods for $40 off.

On a side note does anyone know why the BPS spring master catalog is so much smaller this year than last?

Amen brother...maybe we should make a spot for you in the Administration...you can head up the soon-to-be-created Department of Fishing and Relaxing!!!

Those are my best two attributes! LOL!! Keep up the good work. You've become a living legend! (with a slice of lime!)

I sure wish I could. However, I will be 15-20 miles out in the Gulf, dropping and dragging, looking for monster Grouper with some of the BPS guys from here in ATL. If it falls through, you can count on me there. Although with the results we've had the past several years I think everyone is still a go! We'll have a Corona in remeberance of you all at the Rally while we're soaking up some sun.
