I drove down from Harrisburg, PA to the Bass PRo store in Maryland, it's about a 2 hour trip.

All I can say is WOW.

First time I've been to any like that, other then Gander Mountain in York. Bought a 5ft aluminum hinge to fix the 8 inch broken one on the boat, a boat hook, a rod holder and a video tape.

We had to be back by 3, got home at 4. Next time I think we'll go down, get a room for the night and hit the store right after breakfest. I didn't get thru 1/2 the fishing stuff in the 3 hours we were there.

Bob,

I drive down from Johnstown a few times a year. I was also there they first day that they opened last year. People that I take with me when I go can't believe the place. I keep telling people that we need a store in PA. My idea is the Altoona area. It's near the middle of the state, it's on interstate highways, and has enough other attractions to draw people to it....

I heard one is going in Milton, VT. Then I can spend half of my paycheck at BPS, send half to Cabelas and my family can live on the rest!!! I have not heard of any plans for a BPS in NE but there is going to be a Cabelas in SE PA next Fall and I will check it out next hunting season.

I had heard that one was going in Auburn, NY, not New England but closer then what they are now..

I was at the Baltimore store a few weeks ago and it's really nice. They have all of the same stuff as our store but there boat showroom had more Mako's than ours since they are right on the Chesapeke Bay.

Buzz is right, BPS is opening a store in NY. Maybe I should put in for a transfer. That would put me right smack in the middle of my old friends in New Eangland and my new friends here in MI ) Then I could easily fish Champlain AND Lake St. Clair!!!!

Bob,

We will need to get in touch...I am also in Harrisburg, and I own the same boat-99 Pro Team 18 Jet. I am always looking for people to go out fishing with. Email me when you get time.

OK guys. Here's where BPS has proposed 2003 openings; Destin, FL (summer), Auburn, NY (summer), Myrtle Beach,SC (summer), Washington, DC (summer), Savannah, GA (summer), Bossier City, LA (fall), Colombia, MO (fall), Hampton, VA (fall), Oklahoma City, OK (fall). Probably 8-10 MORE new openings in 2004. So, if you're area is not on the list, be patient.

The D.C. store and some of the others are in the 2003 Master Catalog. There are many more surprizes still under wraps!
