BPS Gold Cup Reels...

Has anyone had a BPS Gold Cup Reel? They look pretty solid for the price. I picked up the 60 for my surf rod. I haven't had a chance to use it. I also just got a Okuma Epyxor BR50 for my inshore setup, and it makes this weird "gear" sound when reeling. It's like it is off line or something. Otherwise it seems fine. I bought it off of ebay, so it's going back. I thought of picking up another Gold Cup for my inshore rod if my impressions of the Gold Cup are accurate. Does anyone have good or bad new about the Gold Cup series?

Wookie, maybe a dumb question but, do you have the clicker on? Most Gold Cups have it so you can tell if you have a fish on. Hoping this is your simple answer.

Thanks, but the gold cup is not the problem, it's the Okuma. As far as I can tell, it doesn't have a cliker. It's more subtle, like a gear is loose and noisey.

My BPS Pro Qualifier started doing that so I ripped it apart, relubed it and it is fine now.
