I took 4 of my friends who had never been to BPS to the sale on Saturday. unfortunately, I didn't get everything I wanted at BPS but I was able to get enough to satisfy my needs for another year
. I ended up with an XPS Extreme /Sradic combo and 1 XPS Extreme rod for a baitcaster to be purchased later and about $200.00 in Misc stuff. I compared the Cruxis and older Curado at the Shimano booth(He wouldn't sell it):angry: I pretty well decided to order a LH Cruxis when they come out this spring instead of getting a Curado 101 at Gander Mtn.(the only LH Curado that they had left) Yesterday I was at Lowes and decided to go next door to check the reels at Gander Mtn. to see if they had reduced them. Lo and behold somehow they had a 201. Unfortunately it wasn't $11.00 like the one posted a week or two ago, but it was marked down from $120 to $100. So I grabbed it.
I got to see Mac and Mini, and got my 2 rods done by Mac. One with a LM and one has a "toad smallie" on it. It's amazing how easily he does them. Mac and I went to lunch while my "girlfriends" went to the shoe store. UNBELIEVABLE....you think you know someone. Overall it was a great day, and a lot of fun. I didn't get to the service center to see Craig, we ran out of time, sorry man. It was good to see you guys and hopefully we can meet up on the water this summer. Thanks again Mac, you are truly 1 of a kind (and I mean that in a good way)
