Bob, Buzz is coming up on Friday from southern VT, maybe you can guys can ride up together? Save some gas and keep each other awake. I know Marke and Mike are coming I-89 also, but I think Thursday night. You guys should all use this post to state your travel route and cooridinate a caravan.

I was trying to hook up with Buzz for Friday, but he is leaving early to go home. I am free to chill out all weekend. My wife told me last night that I should just get a room and stay in Plattsburgh!! I wonder if there is a hidden meaning there. My truck, boat and I will sure miss them!! I never leave my boat outside anyway. It always goes back in the garage with the onboard charger plugged in.

I was going to go fishing today, but the weather does not look good. I might try it tomorrow up at Alburg Passage/Carry Bay. Today, i am taking the opportunity to wire in a float switch for the bilge pump. I didn't want to drill any holes in the bottom of the boat, so I mounted the float switch last night with 3M 5200. It seems like it will hold pretty good. I already replaced the 2 position bilge pump switch with a factory 3 position switch. It only took 2 1/2 months to get the switch through my Tracker marine dealer. It was supposed to be a nice winter project!! I just have to finish running the wire from front to back.

Hey Bob - With that Auto float switch for the bildge pump, will you then never take the plug out again? I've been looking the different switches and just wondered? I know it's a great idea incase of a leak or other reason a lot of water would fill the bildge.

Bob, if you're out tomorrow, look for me. I will most probably be launching out of Rouses Point. However, wind is supposed to be out of the NW at 10 mph which will make the inlet near the islands nasty. Anyway, we will probably make our way over there at some point. If not, look for me around Long Point at Point Au Roche. I could be there, all the way north to Chazy Landing. There will be 3 in my boat. I'm the one wearing a blue rain coat and red Berkley hat. So if you want to stay over during the rally, you're welcome to crash at my place. I know Pierre was still looking for someone to split a room with if you want to stay at the 'Helm!

Trep,

I installed the float switch in the event that it starts raining like cats and dogs while I'm waiting at the ramp and the boat is unattended. Sometimes I race back to the ramp when a storm is brewing only to wait for someone to jockey their boat on/off the trailer for 30 minutes. It doesn't happen very often. Also, I just thought it would be "neat". I will still pull my plug every time just to see if any water comes out. I don't think the float switch will activate until there is 1.5 to 2 inches of water in the bilge.

Rob,

I'll be looking for you tomorrow if I make it out. We had one heck of a storm this afternoon. I'm sure it came by your way first. I might be interested in sharing a room with Pierre. I'll let you know. Is he serial killer?? Does he want to share onw bed or two!! I might need more details before I commit.
