best setup for 901 /200 Opti?

Ok, I admit that I am a speed junkie, and love going fast (as long as it is safe to do so). I can hit about 70 with a tempest plus 25P, standard fixed jackplate (no idea of current setting), on a 2003 901CDX with a 200 Optimax. Any suggestions for setup to improve overall speed?

David, if you havent already done so send that prop out and have it blueprinted by someone like Boger or DAH. By doing that it will allow you to raise the motor some and gaim some speed. It made a 4mph difference on my 882.

I think you could hit 70 if you unload a little gas, and luggage. Also think your gonna need an adjustable jack plate to achieve the best top end.



I have not had a stock tempest lift a Nitro properly yet loaded. The trophy in my 2 cases has always out performed the tempest out of the box. Of course my experience does not apply directly to the 901. So make sure your getting plenty of lift.
