OIL CHEAPER THAN OTHER LIQUIDS ..... With the cost of a barrel of crude oil ($124.31) increasing on a daily basis, it is interesting to know the cost of other common liquids if purchased by the barrel (42 gallons).





2% milk - $147 per barrel

Tropicana Orange Juice - $226 per barrel

Bud Light - $302 per barrel

Louisiana Brand Hot Sauce -$520 per barrel

Jack Daniels Whiskey - $3,569 per barrel

Chanel No. 5 perfume - $102,144 per barrel

All good points, but none of the commodities listed are used in the quantities per week that gasoline/diesel are used. At least last I checked, my son doesn't go through 20-25 gallons of milk a week (our family's average fuel consumption based on a minivan and SUV). Of course, as he's growing, some days it SEEMS like that rate Same for the whiskey not being used at the same rate as gasoline - but then again, if you switched that to vodka ... :lol::lol:
