Does anybody have hands on experience with this product? Like most of us it seems I could always do better with battery maintenance. The additive seems pretty simple, of course so does plugging in the boat when I get back (some how I seem to forget though).

As you may have noticed from some of my previous posts, I tend to be more than just a bit skeptical about claims made for many products..... I'm not sure what the additive is that you're talking about or the claims that have been made..... But.....

If the product were any real good for the batteries, I can guarantee you that the battery manufacturers would already be putting it in from the factory.

Don't waste your money.

me!

i believe i saw some stuff from minn kota regarding this. i saw some in the store and it was a little pricey. might check out minn kota's website.

Scott, I tend to lean toward the side of the skeptic too. But think about this well published note stating battery manufactures prorate their warranties for a reason. Take a 60 month warranty, they assume battery failure at 41 months. This means you're buying that replacement battery at typical sale prices. They're in it to make money, not to help us out.

The Battery Equaliser (yes that's how they spell it) is supposed to prohibit the formation of sulfates. It peeked my curiousity when Minnkota partnered with this company. There's a lot of BS testimonials on the website but I was looking for more of the unfluffed kind, if you know what I mean.

Thanks for the insight.

It also keeps you coming back to buy the same brand and assures them of returned cores for raw materials.

No matter what else, they still must remain competitive in price, performance, etc.

from what i remember concerning price, after a couple of bottles you could almost have bought a new battery.
