HAS ANYBODY EVER BEEN TO ANY OF THOSE BASSMASTER UNIVERSITY CLASSES? I'M GOING TO ONE IN SAN JOSE IN JANUARY. I WAS JUST WONDERING WHAT TO EXPECT.

I go every year. You cannot imagine the information you will get. But be careful if you go this year you will want to go every year. I would pay twice as much because the informatin you get is priceless. Depending on where you plan to attend you may want to bring one of those chairs that fit in a bag and fold out. There will be numerous tackle pack opportunities so bring some cash. Some of these guys are larger than life.

I have never been to one but I may go this year if it comes back around. I have heard nothing but good things about them.

They are deffinetely worth the money. I went to 3 of them several years ago when they were offered through Indiana State University. I attended one in Lansing, Columbus, OH. and in Indianapolis......they focused primarily on Largemouth at that time and it helped me tremendously, especially when you're just starting out in the sport. The amount of info they throw at you is mind boggeling. I wish they had one now for just Smallmouth.....I'd sign up today!

They'll touch on every species,...Lrgmth, smallmth, spots,..etc..but don't be surprised if it's mostly geared towards lrgmth in most cases.....you may have to ask specific questions about a particular species during the open Q&A sessions. You may want to bring a small tape recorder too...you WILL get writers cramp!! LOL

Do it!!!! Best $99.00 I have ever spent (on fishing). Information packed. I took notes, but I think this year I'm getting a tape recorder.

Thinking about going this year if schedule works out right, they'll be at a local community college in March... sounds like you can't beat the price, especially to hear tips from the pros....and from all those posts it sounds like it'd be worth it too....... got the flyer in mail the other day.....egMike

Scott, do you have a copy of the Bassmaster mag? or, lemme know where you are and I'll find the page and let ya know......

I'm in St. Louis, Mike.

I don't get the magazine so I'll try the website.

Thanks, Mike!

St. Charles is 30 minutes away.

Is it at the BPS store or did they say where and how to register?

Sorry Scott, I was reading fast before, hope St. Peters Mo isn't farther than St. Charles..... sorry bout that.....

I don't know, man.....

Must be at least 5 minutes further down the highway.....

Unless it's in the southern section of St. Peters.....

Then it could be as far away as another 10 or 15 minutes!

Thanks, Mike! I think I'm going to give them a call tomorrow and see about signing up!

No prob., I think I'm going to the Elgin, IL one, about 20 min. from here, I'll prob. sign up early next week... have a good one

Scott,

While you are at it, sign up for the magazine too. BASSMASTER mag is still one of the most informative publications on bass fishing.
