They say that bad luck happens in three's and I hope it stops there.

1. Last month my truck puked a transmission. A lot of money later and it's back on the road.

2. A week later, my washing machine died. Was 14 years old....so a quick trip to the local Sears and back in business. Free delivery and install.

3. Went to NY state yesterday to pick up a puppy. Was about to leave Oneida, NY and got a call from the electric company letting me know that they read the meter at my camp in southern VT and the door was kicked in. I was 5 hours from at the time. Got home around 7pm, packed up tools, laptop, camera and food. Called the state police with my arrival time since I don't have a phone there and no cell coverage. Got there around 10:30pm. Place was freaking trashed. They smashed a window to get in, unlocked the deadbolt and opened the door for others to come in. They only took a few small items (DVD player, some DVDs (Full Metal Jacket, Jaws, Rocky..)). Took my Crown Royal! They pried my 2 outdoor cameras off of the trees. It all happened on Easter Sunday at 6:54PM. How do I know this?? They didn't see the camera inside....it doesn't look like a camera. The whole thing lasted 9 minutes and I have it all on video. Gave a copy to the officer. I hate theives!!!!

Up to a point, all there was for damage was a broken window. It scattered glass around the whole 20' x 20' interior. They walked out of the door and shut it and the lockset is the kind that is unlocked when inside but still locked from outside. I actually hate them. So...they locked themslves out and instead of coming back in the window, they kicked in the door and now the jamb is broke. The deadbolt part is still functional. I duct taped plastic over the window to keep the big rain drops and snow flakes out!! :p

Got home around 3:30AM, showered and crashed. Puppy is a Standard Schnauzer...spent her first day with us riding in the truck for about 11 hours. She travels well!!

I'll show the video someday after the case is closed. I checked a nearby camp before I left and found one of the doors opened. Informed the police and the neighbor that watches the camp for the owner. Also informed another camp owner today that they might want to take a ride to check theirs.

I hate theives!!!

Sorry to hear that Bob. At least you had a camera....good lookin' out! Hopefully, I'll be seeing your boys soon.....on F Block, 282 cell.;)

Breakin was done by 2 gals and 1 guy. I'm sure they are real nice youths of the community...if you get to know them!!

Sorry to hear it, Bob. Was the video good enough for identifying the perps?

That sux!! Take an ad out in the local paper by yer cabin......address it to the "punks who trashed my cabin".....explain what they did in detail....and then tell them that they "forgot the camera inside the cabin, and you have crystal clear pictures of them and they will be getting a visit from the local authorities very soon".....they will be chitting cinder blocks for awhile. That would play some serious head games with them for awhile......every time they see a cop they'll get paranoid as hell....serves'em right!!

Oh,...and tell'em you want ALL your chit back...including the Crown...by telling them you have them on film...they might just believe the bluff and take it back!!

Rich,

I took some stills from the video. If the police had this pic quality of you, would you be worried??? I would!!!

Beyotttttttchhhhh has my bottle of Crown in her hand!!

Man.....Sorry to see this Bob. I hope you run across these scumbags soon, either in the back of a squad car or a dim lit alley. Ther's nothing more cowardly than breaking and entering. It's a shame they didn't try this when you were tucked inside. I would have loved to have been a fly on that wall!! Just remember that life is a big wheel. (Not the plastic tricycle everybody wanted as a kid! ) Kharma, man. What comes around... :)

Just saw the pick uploaded. They should be all over the perp from your great surveillance footage. If not, I know you won't forget that face.

Dude, you're scaring me though. My cabin looks eerily similar, sans a crack-ho.:D:lol:

Dan,

Great minds think alike!!!

I have 9 minutes of video and extracted clear pics of all 3 perps.....including the tramp stamp on the other female. I'll let the state police do their job before I go looking. I printed pics to keep in my truck....in case I see them in my travels!!!

I hope the troopers appreciate the slam-dunk you laid in their lap! With what you've provided, any involved should get tagged with on their next cycle through the system. Their next pickup should be their last with your video. I'm looking forward to your BUSTED post soon! Great job!! :D

At least you had a camera and you know the little bastards will be caught.

I hate thieves with a passion!

I have a sign on my garage door that states:

Burglars and Robbers BEWARE!

It looks as if noone is home....

Is it worth your life to find out!

:D

Sorry about your break in. Awesome that you got them on film but even if they catch them, they'll probably just get a slap on the hand. Sucks!

Bob,

The good news is that in NY parents of minors are responsible for any and all damages their kids inflict. So you can go after the parents of these brats in civil court, (since they did such a stellar job of raising future inmates).

Bad news is, if I had to wager, they (the kids and parents) probably live in the run down mobile home park down the road with the multi colored 1984 Ford Escort in the yard along side 3 washing machines, a 350 block and 6 mutt hounds. Maybe one of them has a job and the other is on SSI or disability or welfare or some other Obama loving program for slugs. But that's just my wager......;)

And I have nothing against mobile homes folks before the bashing begins. My wife and I had a single wide when we were first married. I'm just making a point.

Don't sugar coat it Rob! Tell it like it is!!:lol::lol:

Dang it's good to have you back amongst the living!! :D:lol::D

Bob, just stop by my office at work and showed me the video and to say the least the young youths are in deep sh!!

Buzz

I had to think where I was before looking at this to make sure I had an alibi......lol

Actually I wouldnt have done any of that. Not for Crown...lol

Good luck and I hope they catch the thieving little bastards (and bastette's)
