Hey All!!!

Back from Lake Barkley in Kentucky...

AWESOME trip...caught a ton of bass and also my biggest largemouth - 7lbs 8oz!!!

She hit a green pumpkin baby brush hog at 9:30am on 5-5-05...

Got pictures and returned her to the lake...(I'm gonna catch a bigger one to put on the wall!)

Also caught a 5lb 0oz and many 3's and 2's...

Here she is:

Wow!!! Way to go - I could only dream of catching one that big. Bill, The Mad Kayaker

Nice hog, Andy! You have convinced me to plan a weekend for Kentucky Lake. I think it's only an hour and a half from Nashville.

 That one is bigger than all the bass I've ever caught in an entire year put together!

Beeeeyooooootiful fish....but the dude holding her.......

me!,

I would NEVER admit that in a public forum!!!! You need to seriously reconsider where and how you fish if you can't catch more than 8lbs in a season!! LOL!

Very nice job. Looks like you had a simply great time. Were you staying 'on the water'? Notice the barge in several pic's.

That's a good example of a "Toad" in the purest form...LOL

Nice "Do" too!! :p

Great catch! I'm glad someone had some luck this weekend :) . We spent about 9 hours out on the water at KY Lake and didn't catch much. I caught a small Stripe, and some ugly fish that had teeth on the upper and lower lips  . The friend with us caught a few bluegill, and my wife caught zip :( . We tried plastic baits, crank baits, live minnows, and night crawlers at different locations. But hey, we were outside enjoying the weather

Tex-

This is an annual trip I take with guys from work...we rent a houseboat and our feet rarely touch "land" for the week!

We have fished both Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley (they are connected via a canal for those that don't know) in the past. We found that we could get better numbers in Barkley so we have gone there the past 4 or 5 years. This year we got the numbers AND size...between the 4 of us, we caught 8 fish over 4 pounds...

WOW Andy! Well you know my largest bass came from that same impoundment a year ago! Gotta get back there!

Looks like you had a great time too!
