I have a '02 Nitro 882DC and the wheel is very off-center from the fender. It seems to be getting worse and i just put new tires on a couple years ago and am getting severe rub marks where the tire rubs the fender when I go over bumps.
The photo shows the off-set. Under load, there is a 4" gap in the front and 2" gap in the back. When I take the load off the spring, the gap in front narrows to 3.75".
the center pin looks like it is still aligned and all measurements indicate that the axle has not moved along the spring.
Based on the gaps in front an back, I need to move the entire axle 1" to the front. Is the spring unsprung? Underload, it is 26" eye-to-eye. No load is 25-1/2". I am thinking that I need a spring that is 24" eye-to-eye to move the axle forward.
At this point, I am looking for ideas before I start spending money for nothing. Thank you in advance for all the input.
