You might already have heard about this. I heard about and tried this when I first moved up north to MN.



If your temp. are below zero take a pan of boiling or very hot water and through it up in the air outside. It never hits the ground ! If you have kids its a great demonstration for evaporation..

that's also why Zambonies put hot water on hockey rinks when they're resurfacing between periods......it evaporates faster than cold water.

In Texas, you do the opposite, throw cold water in the air in the summer and it hits the ground boiling LOL.
