I just wanted to drop a quick line to let you folks in the Atlanta area know that our Spring Classic Weekend has begun! The sales flyer is a great one, but the unadvertised deals are here, too! I just bought a sack full of Ed Chambers' hand made ZOOM crankbaits (Tapps are $25ea. when you can find them!) for $7.50-$9.00ea.!! We started giving away gift cards, Leatherman tools, tackle packs, spotlights, chargers, rods/reels, etc., to the crowd off the fish tank at 5pm and will continue through 10pm. (It's Friday's "Midnight Madness"!) There are awesome rod deals as low as $5, large boat bags for $10, 2004 Johnny Morris reels for $84.99 (w/trade-in), and a bunch of other stuff I haven't found yet. I don't mean to sound like an advertisement, but a lot of this stuff wasn't mentioned in any ads. I just wanted to let you all in on a good thing!! (The other stores are supposed to have some things along the same line as well!) Hank Parker was 10 people deep at the Berkley booth, last I checked, and the fish tank and seminar area are full of people "learnin' up"!! If any of you can make it between now and Sunday, I hope to see you myself. You don't have to spend a single dime to enjoy what we have put together for you all on our 10th annual Spring Classic!!

Sounds like your having more fun than the customers!!!

Ours is in two weeks in Hampton...

Did you get an e-mail from me!!!

Dan, stopped by the store around 6:30pm to just see what was going on. Great collection of boats out in the parking lot. Store was hopping. Good job!

Thanks fellas! I'm heading back in a few minutes. Sorry I missed you Rich. I hope to see you soon!

KB - I didn't get an e-mail. Let me know if I can help!

News Flash! - If you can make it today, Woo (and Patti) Daves will be here this afternoon!! They're on their way to Clark's Hill Lake and have decided to stop by and "hang out" with our folks for awhile. This is a great opportunity to meet a BASSmaster Classic Winner, one of the best bass fishermen on tour, and "pick his brain." (He has instructed more about bass fishing than I will ever assume to know and he's just a wonderful man to "chew the fat with.") This was not advertised, but he was nice enough to spend some time with his friends (and let Patti go shopping! LOL!) and I thought I'd let my buddies here know.

KB - It should be [email protected]. I've been receiving e-mail there for awhile, but if not, e-mail me and I'll get you another address. (LOL!!) You can try [email protected], if you'd rather.

Also, O.T. Fears came in for the show and will be by for a while in the morning. He's another great fisherman and a good fella. You'll find O.T. in the Berkley/Abu-Garcia booth. If you have the time, he and Woo will be with us for breakfast and in the store for a few hours before heading over to next week's Clark's Hill BASS T. Both are giving FREE seminars/demos!

Woo is a great guy. Met him last year at the classic.

I was out at Charlotte BPS today for the sale. I'm not sure I'm willing to fight the crowds next weekend though. Maybe the store here will have some specials, but I've not been too impressed with the follow through here.

The pro-qualifier combo's on sale, are just about hidden - and they share a rack with the diawa combos. Can't be more than 20-25 in the rack here. Almost all are MH 6' 6" rods. I got the ONLY 7' rod they had this morning.

Still a great deal though.

Tex
