I have some carpet on one of my bunks that is wearing out. Rather than replace the carpet, I was considering using the easy slide trailer pads that install directly over the carpet w/ stainless screws. Supposedly makes the boat slide easier for easy loading and unloading.

Does anyone have these? Do you like them? Does it scratch the fiberglass?

Thanks,

Bryan

Bryan, Read some articles about similar pads. There have been some bad accidents were people unhooked there boats and started to back down the launch and the boat slid off and ended up on the ramp. They make it easier to launch but remember to unhook the bow strap after backing down the ramp.

I put some on last summer and they work fine. There is actually a warning in the package refering to Al's post. I haven't noticed any damage to my boat.
