anybody been fishing kerr/buggs island

I am heading down to kerr next week with the wife for some fishing. has anybody been out there recently? we are staying on the dan river if that helps. i am guessing the fish are just getting into early fall late summer pattern.

Found this little tid-bit........



"Fished out of Satterwhite today and really caught some good fish. Concentrated on points and secondary points with great effectiveness. 5 best would go 19lbs......and you guessed it...all caught on Black and Red Crankbaits....."



Can't verify it but it sounds good!!
