A friend of mine who has been strugling to break into the pro circut (Mike Taylor of Iowa) just hit a homer.

He has been working at his own plastics business for several years now and has several patents that have impressed me a lot.

One such is the LineSaver. This is the only device I have seen that can cut spiderwire when I get hopelessly hung up. It slides down the line and cuts it off at the lure to avoid wasted line.

Anyway, when that idiot was blowing up mailboxes, he got the idea of building a clear plastic mailbox that is indestructable. He has bashed one in his shop 30-40 times with a ballbat with no effect.

You can change the liners inside to go with the season (sports or holiday.)

Bottom line is he was contacted by the Home Shopping Network (the VP called him) and they will be featuring this starting next month. The VP was realy pumped to get this on their show.

I just love it when good things happen to good people!

Hey great story...good luck to your friend. I can use one of those...let me see that I didn't get a new BPS catalog and only a bunch of bills so I can forget the mail...never even have to open the door...leave it for the wife and kids.

Is it snowplow proof too? If so, it'll take the north by storm! Great news for your friend.

In my part of the country, it will have to stand up to a 32 gallon Hefty Trash bag thrown from a moving Pickup. Kids nowadays.

TOXIC

I tell you what, the stuff this guy makes is unbelievably tough. He makes a free-standing drinking fountain for parks that is so tough, someone tried to run one over with their car and had to be towed away. The fountain itself was undamaged but the stainless steel mounting plates had to be straightened-up!

The plastic he uses for the mailbox is bullet-proof!

I'll bet the only thing that would need to be replaced would be the post you put it on.
