pmgoffjr- Can't fine the posting--

Some time ago you said you setup a few Tundras with the 115 4stroke with a ProTech 4blade 16p prop. and a certain type of hub??

I'm still looking for the best setup-- Still running the stock alum 17p --on a TARGA 18'sc with the 115 4stroke.

--get 5400rpm -- 40mph(GPS)---WOT-- Holeshot is "fair"--- in rough choppy water -- need to trim all the way down to stop Porpoising. And the way the wind has been here in KS --There is almost always rough water --Today 23mph with gust up to 35mph? Always fish with 2 or 3 of us plus gear..

Any ideas for a prop on my Targa??? And cost?? --

Would you prop a Targa 18' the same as a Tundra 18'??

Thanks for your help--HaleDamage

LOL!!

About 30 years ago, I TRIED to do a bit of dirt bike riding..... First bike was a Honda SL-175 which was a horrible cross between a dirt and a street bike. Then went to a Yamaha DT-250 and finally a Rickman 250 - Rickman made the frame in England and the motor was a Montessa.

I HAD to get rid of the Yammie..... "Dirt Bike Magazine" did an article on it..... The picture at the head of the article was a DT-250 wallowing in the mud - surrounded by pigs and a balloon exclaiming "Oink!"

"Dirt Bike" was the only magazine I ever read that really told the truth! Why they had to do it about my belowved Yamma-hammer was beyond me! LOL!!

Thanks Pmgoffjr--

What rpm / mph are you getting on the 18' Targa with this setup?

What is the differance between the "Powertech CLU135RXBR15P" and the PowerTech "M135PFS4R15P"??

And will this setup Help the Porpoising in heavy chop??

Do I need to order the CLU hub or does it come with the prop?

$450---Do you ever get a used one in??

Thanks again

Have you had a dealer "ride and drive" with the Verado's yet? Still not the shot of an XB, but significantly better than other traditional fours, chiefly because of the supercharger and new low end. (I'm curious to see how longevity pans out on the sc. That's a lot of load on that charger constantly.) The size of those monsters were a bit intimidating, and after reading the weight on the tag, I was expecting a "Neil Armstrong" hole shot. It was surprizing to say the least! I was very impressed. Merc's Hi-Perf is in Suwanee, GA, about 10 minutes from us and I'm confident the test boats were rigged and propped accordingly by them. (They gave the ride and drive.) All were stock props though, which leads me to believe that the shot can only get better. They're worth a look!

My Verado response was for Pat's reply regarding four strokes in general. (I took for granted that was obvious.)
