Tom, can you make it bigger? Can't see the truck either. I know how to post pics, but not manipulate. I'm sure windows has a program that does it, but don't know which, or how.

And guys, I've ridden in this rig a few times, it looks even better close up, and Tom keeps it up too. And it rides like a dream. Perfect for handling Champlain's nasty weather.

Hey Tom,

Are you having a problem with the reverse lights on your trailer. I've got the same exact setup (single console) and keep blowing the trailer reverse lights? I'm almost positive it's water getting up in the unit. Anybody got a fix?

Unplug your lights at the ramp before backing the boat in. Just remember to plug them back in before leaving the ramp to go home.

Toxic I have had only one backup light go on me and that was when the boat was new. The backup lights on the trailers are cheap junk. by the way I have two questions for you first do you have any problems with rain water getting into you rod lockers > Second question where was that fist picture taken of you holding the two smallies taken the dock kinf of looks like the place were we stay on Champlain

Tom,

Never had a problem with rainwater but I try to keep as high and dry as possible. I just am a little anal (OK a lot anal) about little things like water spots, bloody carpet, sun fade etc.

The dock is outside the motel we stay at on North Hero, I'm having a brain cramp and can't pull the name out. I know it changed hands either last year or the year before. It's got a huge mound in the middle of the front lawn (sewer deal) and the guy who runs it has a mooch of a dog who comes around every time you try to grill ha ha. Funny I can remember that stuff but can't pull the name out. It's also about a mile and a half north of a big boat dealer.

Help me out------

I agree with you I am very anal with my boat . In fact I am in the process of trying out the pro-tect products on the boat. I get upset if myself on anyone else get fish blood or anything else on the carpet it's a light tanish color shows dirt and dog hair real well. As ar as the names of the cabins on North hero the only ones I can recall is west shore cabins which are tiny little white cabins,Carry Bay & Holiday hotel both of these are near the bridge to alburg the only other cabins are in North hero itself and that at Rob LaMoy's buddy place I think they are called northland cabins ???. Th only other place that I have ever seen cabins is a place I believe is called Hislops or some other wierd name they got about 6 cabins in Grand isle right before the bridge to North hero he is down on a part of the lake called the gut

Here is a better pic looking out into the bay. If you go left and run a couple of miles, you will come to a pretty big marina (sheltered), at the marina to get to the main lake you have to go through an opening in what looks like an old train tressel---water beyond is BIG and twords NY. Go right and under the bridge to either the dam or a state park. I don't have my map with me.

Yup those are the few cabins on Rte 2, see the bridge in the background. It's just down the road from the little store, about 2-3 miles up the narrow and on the opposite bank from Henry's. Toxic, every fish that sunken dock to the right? With all the wood sticking up? Little tip for ya, when you go just past that bridge on the right, watch your finder. There's an old bridge still there and it's right under the power lines. Holes go from 8' - 20'. Buzz and I pounded it for 2 days.....nothin! But in the fall, I haven't tried it yet.

Rob,

We hit it on they way back after a long day (there is a ramp just on the other side of the bridge). We were goofing and trying to fill up the livewells with some tasty yellow perch for a fry that we were going to have that night. Did pretty well too. Have you ever fished the grass flats that are a straight run through the bridge and on your right (maybe 2-3 miles)? There is a State Park there. From the bank it goes sand beach-------wide weed bank-----open strip-------weeds. Get in that open area and pitch to ethier strip of weeds....Ohhhhh Brother. 2 five pound smallies came out of there last year. If the PA guys ever foud out I let that cat outta the bag, they would have my hide. One other spot but you gotta promise not to tell ANYONE---When you go through the area of the old train tressel (left from my dock picture) about 5 miles out, bearing to your left (just a little) there is a hump out in the middle of nowhere. It's got a lotta deep grass and even more brownies. Some bigguns' came outta there last year but when we were out there we were in a 20' ChampioN, and outta nowhere, we got 4' rollers and had to tack to get back. No we didn't stay dry. Thank god I wasn't in the Javlin!!

Fish it all the time. Eats a lot of lower units. Took Tom and Jim there once, but it was too hot and calm and the fish didn't cooperate. I know most of the "secret" spots on the north end, but always seem to learn a few more each year. Across the lake from your grass flats, go try City ledge, on the humps in the fall. Burn a spinnerbait, or try a carolina rigged zoom baby brush hog. Any color.....as long as it's green pumpkin! LOL Buzz told me that once, only it was purple! LOL

Rob,

I hope to get up your way again soon. The PA boys will be at that dock and cabins the end of this month. I was supposed to go but you know the guide biz.....clients come first (especially when you've got biiiiggg boat payments or in your case ----repair bills). If you get a minute swing by and shoot the bull with them. Ask for Ron Repp (he has the Javlin) he is my neighbor(x-PA resident). His nickname is Forrest.

I have about 3 more guide trips this month (all federation guys trying to qualify for state teams from 3 different states LOL darn Everstart publicity) and then I have the Winni tourney with Buzz. After that, I go straight into the woods for birds and won't emerge until after deer season in December. We might be able to squeak a day in somewhere, let me know.
