This from Reuters.... Captioned "that must have been one helluva note"

"Updated: 7:12 p.m. ET July 12, 2005

CHICAGO - That was easy.

A bank robber behind the wheel of his car Tuesday sent a note through a vacuum tube to the teller at the drive-through window at a branch of Chicago

Imagine what could have happened if the teller didn't comply. The robber could have put a unfired bullets in the tube and sent it to the teller, who would have immediately gone down in the hail of ammo arriving in the vacuum tube.

Oh, come on, Rich..... You know that she would have had to have something to fire the bullets at herself..... And everyone knows that women don't use guns as an instrument of suicide  ..... He would have had to put pills or razor blades in the tube..... :p

It would have been a lot worse if the robber had tried to take the teller hostage through the tube...

ha hahahhhhhhhhhhhaaaa, and to think my cousin who lives back there, use to work for ABN, I had to laugh on this one. This one had my whole office on the floor !!!!!! Everytime I think I have heard it all, I get online and see something new !

Stop and think for a second......I work for the FDIC, we regulate banks so I do have a little background. What if the teller had told this guy to f-off and that she was calling the police.......He could have driven to the front door, got out with a gun, went inside and killed them all. Not a pretty thought. Tellers are trained to give them the money, get a detailed description and get them out of there. Law enforcement can take it from there.

This teller was just following his/her training.

And as Paul Harvey used to say "and that's the rest of the story":)

TOXIC

Tox... Almost every drive-up is virtually "impenetratable"... So, if this was a stand alone driveup...

Depends on if it was a "stand alone" or a branch office with drive up lanes. Not to many of the stand alones out there since the invention of the ATM. Most are branches with a front door.
