Almost time to go hard water fishing

Here in Southwest Iowa we are just waiting for the hardwater to get thick enough to venture out on. There have been a few reports of 3 inches here and there but I am not feeling secure enough to chance it yet. Once again, almost a year exactly, the layoffs are hitting the IT world around here again. Company I had signed a contract with till april of 2009 redid thier budget for 2009 and let the contractors go in Nov. So the water needs to harden up so I have something to do between sending out resumes.

Geeze Ed not again. Well Lake Anita had some hot crappie action in front of the campground. I fished it up until Mid November. Got some nice baggies of fillets.

Almost? Up here in Ontario we where fishing on 6 inches of ice for Crappie. We managed to ice about 30 !

The bad news is: at Midnight, it was very windy and 57 degrees, at 7:30 AM, its dropped to 13 with a wind chill of -8.



the good news is: My new 61" TV should be here today



the even better news is: the new recliner should arrive from NC this week too.
